Sessions run 08:30 to 16:30 with a 45-minute lunch. Arrive by 08:15 on the first day so we can complete FAIB + NOCO registration before the session starts.
Live online removes both the flight and the overnight stay that classroom training used to require.
What the course covers
Basic emergency first aid training for appointed workplace first aiders.
- The role and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
- Assessing an incident and keeping yourself, the casualty and others safe
- Primary survey and casualty assessment
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- The recovery position
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Recognising and responding to choking
- Controlling wounds and bleeding
- Recognising and treating shock
- Dealing with seizures
- Minor injuries such as small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns, scalds and splinters
- Preventing cross-infection
- Using available first-aid equipment
- Recording incidents and actions taken
On-site training in Belfast
